Jonathan Maitem, D.O.
Dr. Maitem is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. He graduated from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994. He trained at Midwestern University-Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in a dual residency of Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Maitem has been practicing Emergency Medicine in Phoenix since 1999. He has worked as the ER Director at Kingman Regional Medical Center and Chairman at HonorHealth Deer Valley. He is on the teaching staff for medical students and residents at HonorHealth Deer Valley and John C Lincoln and is an Associate Adjunct Professor at Midwestern University.
Dr. Maitem has worked extensively in Emergency Medical Services, initially as a New York EMT starting in the 1980s, and currently works with the Department of Health Services on the Emergency Medical Services Council and Medical Direction Commission. He lectures extensively on Law Enforcement first responder medical training. Dr. Maitem works with Wilderness Medics for austere and wildland fire medical care. He still volunteers with multiple fire departments and as a field medic for acute trauma care.
He served as Vice-President of the Board from February 1, 2021 - December 2, 2023.
Dr. Maitem was elected President beginning on January 26, 2024.
