DEA Data Waiver

In 2019, the Arizona Legislature passed SB1029 which amended the Board’s statute A.R.S.§32-1803 to allow for the Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners to review and determine an individual’s training, experience and ability to treat and manage opiate-dependent patients as a qualifying physician under the DEA DATA-Waiver program pursuant to 21 United States Code Section 823(g)(2)(G)(ii).

The Board has established an application and review process to review individual courses. Currently the Board has approved the following courses as pre-approved for individuals to request a DATA-Waiver eligibility letter from the Board:
